Called to the Bar in 2003, Suzika has been practicing in Gibraltar for over a decade in a wide variety of areas. During this period, she has advised banks and other lending institutions as well as developers, in particular, she has assisted in the drafting of documentation for banks and developers of the most recent residential developments such as Quay 29. She is well known to settle landlord and tenant disputes in different issues to include rent reviews and notices to quit. She has also advised management companies on day to day matters. Her expertise extends to matters of probate, general commercial work, company law, private clients and residency.
Suzika joined the firm’s conveyancing and private client team in 2013 where she primarily concentrates on property matters, in particular on sales and purchases of property in Gibraltar, both commercial and residential. She advises developers as well as private clients, banks and other lending institutions. She has assisted in the training of banks' employees and revising their documentation in line with the new requirements implemented as a result of the enforcement of the recent Mortgage Credit Directive, She also assists high net worth clients in residency, Nationality and CAT 2 status applications. She is very well regarded in the field of property and real estate law. In particular, she is well known for resolving problems with defective title. She is also familiar with the licensing authorities for the purposes of applications for licenses for locally trading companies and planning permits at all levels. She also continues to advise lessors and management companies.
