Sarah's practice is focused on property and private client work.
Her real estate work involves assisting and advising clients on the sale and purchase of property in Gibraltar (conveyancing) - both residential and commercial, the drafting and negotiation of residential and commercial leases, acting for developers, reviewing and approving assignments on behalf of various management companies and lessors in Gibraltar-to include developments such as Kings Wharf, Atlantic Suites, Eurotowers, Cornwall’s Centre, acting for banks and building societies in relation to facility letters, mortgages, financing and security over premises in Gibraltar on a variety of developments. She also acts for purchasers on off-plan projects.
Her Private Client work includes residency advice and immigration matters, specialist tax statuses and options available to high net worth individuals such as Category 2 status and High Executive Possessing Specialist Skills, as well as ancillary estate planning issues such as Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
Sarah acted for Her Majesty’s Government of Gibraltar in the drafting of the Lasting Powers of Attorney & Capacity Act 2018, which is new to Gibraltar and allows a person making an LPA (the donor) to give another person (the donee) the authority to act for them, even if they lose their mental capacity. Sarah has presented various breakfast briefings and workshops on the new legislation since it came into force in April 2018.
Since the AIJA Annual Conference held in Prague, which she attended as a speaker to discuss the movement of high net worth individuals from a Gibraltar perspective, she has attended various other real estate conferences in Milan, Vienna and Tokyo.
