The PJ Isola Foundation has today donated the sum of £2,000 to St Martin's School, a school dedicated to taking care of the special needs of some of Gibraltar's children.
Following the exploits of some of the members of the ISOLAS 'Cycling Team,' funds raised in the amount of approximately £13,000 are being distributed between this and other causes in the local community.
Pictured with Angela Lucas, Head Teacher at the school, are a couple of the pupils at the school and Gemma and Genevieve, two members of staff who have helped to organise the distributions for the PJ Isola Foundation.
As one of the trustees of the Foundation, Christian Rocca, explained, 'we have today presented the school with £2,000 for the purchase of a highly specialized wheelchair to assist in the movement of a number of children. We are approaching the matter of donating funds to local causes by way of a collaboration with the chosen organisations instead of merely passing the funds on. We'd like to think that, as a charity linked to the oldest law firm in Gibraltar, we should, through our network of contacts, be able to assist in many ways beyond the simple donation of money.'
The Foundation continues to make donations throughout the year, all of which you can read about in the news pages of our website
