Expertise
Mark has taken on numerous challenges since joining the firm. He commenced working with one of the firm’s partners specialising in family law and having taken over that area of practice now finds himself among Gibraltar’s leading practitioners in this field.
He also has extensive experience in criminal practice. As a result of his involvement in a high profile case involving two youths charged with GBH with intent, he has published an article in relation to the sentencing of young offenders in Gibraltar’s criminal justice system. Mark’s contribution in this area has led to the revision of how driving disqualifications are proven.
Another of Mark’s remarkable achievements has been in a Coroner’s inquest into the death of a patient whilst in the care of the Gibraltar Health Authority. The jury in this case returned the first ever unlawful killing verdict in a Gibraltar Coroner’s court.
Mark also works closely with the firm’s Property Team, particularly on Landlord and Tenant matters.
