Expertise
Jamie has a broad advisory and litigation practice. Much of his work is in the fields of banking, financial services and civil fraud. He has extensive experience advising banks and investment firms, based both within and outside of Gibraltar, on regulatory matters, private law issues and EC law. He is frequently instructed in contentious commercial cases, many of which involve interim applications before the Supreme Court of Gibraltar. He has also developed a thriving public and human rights law practice.
Jamie was previously an assistant professor at the National Judicial College of China and at Tsinghua University in Beijing. He also tutored in law on a part-time basis at Oxford University during his time as a graduate student. In addition to his busy practice in Gibraltar he is currently pursuing further graduate study at Cambridge University.
