Expertise

Joey P. Garcia is part of the Commercial team at Isolas focusing on private client work, funds, company law and trusts. He was called to the Bar in 2004 and represents the fifth generation of ISOLAS lawyers to come through the family firm. Joey is a junior member of the Society of Trustee and Estate Practitioners, and also sits on the Gibraltar Bar Council Committee.
Joey has been extensively involved in the set up and operation of the Kusuma Trust (Gibraltar), an international Charitable organization based in Gibraltar. He has advised international banks on share ownership schemes and custodian arrangements and private clients on the structuring of Gibraltar domiciled funds and corporate structures. Recently Joey has been involved in the structuring and launch of Fiduciary’s new Wealth Management and Fund Administration departments in Gibraltar. He is also currently enrolled with the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association

Joey has been involved with the Gibraltar Finance Centre as a moderator on the Gibraltar Funds Seminar Program and has contributed to the International Fund Investment, and IFC publications as well as ‘The Lawyer’s’ yearly offshore special
reports.

“Prior to his career in law Joey spent time working with Jesuit missions in Argentina and Cuba, and with the marketing department of Ralph Lauren in London. Joey is also a keen rugby fan and plays for the Gibraltar Rugby team on a weekly basis. He can often be spotted hobbling around the office on a Monday morning claiming that age is not an issue for rugby players."
