As a member of the Commercial Team at ISOLAS, Christian undertakes a range of general commercial and corporate matters and has particular expertise in the fields of Insurance, Funds, Intellectual Property, E-commerce and Gaming. In addition, Christian also undertakes considerable Trust, Private Client and Small Business work.
During his time in ISOLAS, Christian has been involved in the launch of various Gibraltar Private Schemes and Experienced Investor Funds. Christian advises clients in relation to a broad range of intellectual property matters and is highly experienced in domain name disputes, with regular involvement in the recovery of hijacked domain names.
Christian also works closely with Partner, Steven Caetano, advising financial services firms, gaming companies and e-commerce businesses as to local regulatory and licensing requirements.
Christian has recently completed a 6 month inwards secondment in the Insurance Supervision Division of the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission, during which time he has developed his expertise in the areas of financial services regulation, risk management, corporate governance and the prudential supervision of licensed Insurance Companies and Insurance Intermediaries.
During his secondment, Christian also assisted the Financial Services Commission with regard to the transposition and implementation into Gibraltar law of the European Union’s Solvency II regime, this being the key challenge facing Gibraltar’s entire insurance industry.
