Santa Maria PoloThe Ahmibah team continued making history yesterday at the Santa Maria Polo Club as they maintained their unbeaten run in finals at the tournament. Following their win of all three cups at the 2008 event and having missed the event last year, they arrived at this year’s tournament playing in the same emphatic style that brought them success in the past. Winning the final of the Hackett Bronze Cup in a scintillating match against team Ellerston by 16 goals to 14, they extended their run of finals victories to four.

Bahar Jeffrey’s team’s performance once again highlighted the value of having a player like Pablo MacDonough allied to an all-star line-up which saw Ellerston struggle against Ahmibah in spite of having players of the quality of Facundo and Nicola Pieres on their team, along with the up and coming Santi Stirling.

In an earlier match, Dos Lunas won the subsidiary cup with an exciting win over ‘Leones’ with a final result of 9 goals to 8
