ISOLAS is, as part of its 120 Celebrations, supporting a member of its staff, Dyandra Borg, as she takes to the limelight in the Miss Gibraltar pageant to be held in April.

The pageant, held annually, is tasked with selecting Gibraltar's entry for the Miss World competition being held in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China.  ISOLAS is proud to be sponsoring Dyandra in this year's competition, with another eight young ladies vying for the coveted Miss Gibraltar crown.  This year, as part of the contestants' preparation for the show being hosted on 14th April at St Michael's Cave , they will be participating in a number of charity and fund raising events, proceeds of which go to each of the contestants' chosen charities, in Dyandra's case, the PJ Isola Foundation.

'...I'm really very excited about the next few weeks!'

Dyandra explained "it’s something I’ve always wanted to do and, I’m sure, will be an unforgettable and character building experience. All we’ve done so far is pick out our contestant numbers at the Mayor’s office and had a couple of social events and we’re all having lots of fun. I’m sure the next ten or so weeks will prove educational as I learn about all the charity work being done by so many in our community for those in our community who need it the most. I’m really grateful that ISOLAS has sponsored me for the event and happier still to be supporting the PJ Isola Foundation, a charity that ISOLAS and Fiduciary are constantly raising funds for through social events and physical challenges such as the gym marathon in order to help our community’s less fortunate children. I really am very excited about the next few weeks!"

Earlier this week, the Miss Gibraltar contestants picked out their contestant numbers at City Hall, details of which can be found here.  Dyandra is contestant number 3.  ISOLAS wishes Dyandra all the very best of luck in the pageant and thanks her for choosing the PJ Isola Foundation as her chosen charity.
