ISOLAS and Fiduciary staff left behind their suits and ties and donned their gym gear for their annual gym marathon in aid of the PJ Isola Foundation at the Caleta Palace Hotel Gymnasium on Friday.

Starting from 9am in the morning, staff of all ages took to pounding the treadmills and pushing weights for this fund raising appeal.

Last year, the PJ Isola Foundation raised a whopping £20,000 in their cycling and gym marathon for various local charities such as the Breast Cancer Support Group, Happy Faces, St Martins School, Bruce's Farm and Save the Children.

Senior Associate Selwyn Figueras spoke on behalf of the PJ Isola Foundation. He said: "We are very proud of being able to collect so much money and help all these worthy causes. We are always looking for ways to try and collect money to give to them because in Gibraltar we are doing very well and it is important that a community takes care of itself."

The PJ Isola Foundation was set up to commemorate and celebrate the life of the firm's former senior partner the Hon Peter J Isola OBE after he passed away in 2006.

The Foundation is registered in Gibraltar as a charitable trust and the main object of the Foundation is to raise money to support local charities.

NOTE: As a result of the gym marathon, ISOLAS and Fiduciary raised the sum of £2,500.
